Mike is an experienced work comp, injury, insurance, and disability attorney who believes his clients deserve a tireless advocate to secure the benefits they deserve. He has secured his clients millions of dollars in unpaid and denied benefits.
Mike understands disabled and injured persons already have enough difficulty in their lives, and prides himself in easing the burden these individuals experience by providing comprehensive representation on disability and injury matters. His experience in workers’ comp, social security disability, long term disability, and personal injury helps him effectively coordinate his clients benefits.
Mike is a Twin Cities native and calls Northeast Minneapolis home with his wife and three Italian greyhounds. He attended Hamline University for undergrad where he studied music and philosophy.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, where he specialized in injury law, insurance law, employment law, and employee benefits law. He participated in the Maynard Pirsig Moot Court where he was nominated for Best Brief and Best Overall Performance.
Since graduating law school, Mike has pursued his client’s disability benefits in hundreds of federal ERISA lawsuits against insurers like Cigna, MetLife, Lincoln, Aetna, Guardian, Standard, Reliance, and Hartford.
In addition to fighting for long and short term disability benefits, Mike has won hundreds of social security cases and secured millions of dollars in benefits for social security and workers’ compensation clients alike. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He has appeared as pro hac vice counsel in cases in the Western District of Washington, Northern District of Illinois, and the Southern District of New York.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys playing guitar, cooking, golf, travel, and watching the Vikings lose.
